Fire destroys home in Hawaiian Paradise Park Thursday (May 30)

Fire/rescue crews responded for a 5:38 p.m. alarm Thursday (May 30) to 16-1608 38th Avenue in Hawaiian Paradise Park for a structure fire.

Crews arrived to find a 900 square foot home engulfed in flames. Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control by 5:53 p.m. and out at 6 p.m. One occupant was evacuated without injuries from the home.

The structure was deemed a total loss at $150,000 and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
