Kona burglary, theft reports (May 4-10)

MEDIA RELEASE

Kona Community Policing staff compile a weekly listing of burglaries and thefts in the West Hawaii community. This update covers May 4-10.

BURGLARIES

No burglaries reported this week.

UCPV (STOLEN VEHICLE)

On May 4, a reported UCPV in the 6500 block of Sea View Circle, a White 1991 Nissan SE Pickup truck with Lic# HBZ499 was taken. The vehicle has been located.

On May 6, a reported UCPV in the 5700 block of Lamaokeola St., a blue 1998 Honda Civic with Lic# HFX492 was taken.

UEMV(THEFT FROM VEHICLE)

On May 4, a reported UEMV in the rear parking lot of Uncle Billy’s Hotel, two duffle bags containing miscellaneous clothing taken.

On May 7, a reported UEMV at the T&T Towing parking lot off of Maiau Street, an Alpine Double Den MP3 player, four Diamond racing rims, & four Zeik brand tires taken.

On May 8, a reported UEMV behind the old bowling alley in Kainaliu Town, medication taken.

THEFT

On May 6, a reported theft at Jacks Diving Locker (Honokohau Harbor), sunglasses taken, sunglasses later recovered and returned.

Between May 4 and May 7, a reported theft fronting Keauhou Punahele Condominiums, vehicles gas line cut and eight gallons of gas taken.

On May 8, a reported theft at the Kailua Pier, a prepaid cell phone and cash taken from an unattended bag.

On May 8, a reported theft at The Club, a bag and cell phone taken.
