West Hawaii Community Health Center opens in Waikoloa

MEDIA RELEASE

West Hawaii Community Health Center — Waikoloa is now open and accepting new patients — both kamaaina (islanders) and malihini (newcomers).

The office is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday in the Waikoloa Highlands Shopping Center in the Villages of Waikoloa, 8 miles upland on Waikoloa Road. Walk-ins are welcome.

Dr. Rob Edmonds joined the staff of West Hawaii Community Health Center in January of this year to offer primary health services to the residents of Waikoloa Villages and the guests of the nearby hotels.

He received his MD from University of British Columbia, Canada, where he also completed his residency. After 10 years in private practice, offering medical assistance to those traveling abroad, Edmonds moved his family to Hawaii Island to take advantage of living and working in a warmer climate. He enjoys snorkeling, running, and hiking.
