Kona burglary, theft reports (April 27-May 3)

Kona Community Policing staff compile a weekly listing of burglaries and thefts in the West Hawaii community. This update covers April 27-May 3.

BURGLARIES

No burglaries reported this week.

UCPV (STOLEN VEHICLE)

No vehicles reported stolen this week.

UEMV (THEFT FROM VEHICLE)

On April 28, a reported UEMV at Keawaiki Beach Park, wallet removed from glove box.

On May 1, a reported UEMV in the 1000 Block of Kuuleialoha Circle, a silver and white Nitro ulua pole, Finor reel and a pink Orka lure taken

THEFT

On April 27, a reported theft in the 6400 Block of Walua Road, a wallet taken from a purse that was left unattended within a residence while the owner hosted a garage sale outside. Wallet contained U.S. currency.

On April 28, a reported theft at Hawaii Executive Transportation, a two-step ladder taken.

On April 29, a reported theft at the Vista Resturant, U.S. currency taken from an office.

On April 29, a reported theft at Laaloa Beach Park (Magic Sands), two Japanese citizens reported their black backpack containing currency, black and lime green 4S IPhone, silver Apple Ipod and other miscellaneous items taken from the beach while they swam.

On April 30, a reported theft at Konawaena High School, an Ipod taken.

On April 30, a reported theft at Kealakehe High School, an IPhone taken.

On April 30, a reported theft at the public parking fronting Kona Plaza, two five gallon buckets taken from the bed area of a pick-up truck. Buckets contained tabis, a homemade throw net and a tackle box with miscellaneous fishing gear taken.

On April 30, a reported theft at Choice Mart, a black leather Coach wallet, which was left in a shopping cart within the parking lot, was taken.

On April 30, a reported theft in the 5700 Block of Iuna Place, a red, white and black Specialized bicycle taken.
