Gabbard statement on the explosions at the Boston Marathon

Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (HI-02) released the following statement on the explosions at the Boston Marathon:

“I am deeply saddened by the senseless, violent attacks at the Boston Marathon today. My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Boston, and all those who have been impacted by these attacks, and especially with those who lost loved ones today. The swift and professional reaction of the first responders and law enforcement on the scene is to be greatly commended, as they put their lives on the line to save lives and ensure the safety of others.

“Those who carried out this heinous attack will be brought to justice and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I will continue to monitor this situation closely, work with my colleagues on the Homeland Security Committee, and with our law enforcement community to ensure the safety and security of the American people.”
