Kona burglary, theft reports (Feb. 22-28)

Kona Community Policing staff compile a weekly listing of burglaries and thefts in the West Hawaii community. This update covers Feb. 22-28.

BURGLARIES

On Feb. 22, a reported burglary in the 1200 Block of Mahilani Dr., An iPad was taken.

On Feb. 23 a reported burglary in the 200 Block of Oni Oni St., scuba gear taken.

On Feb. 24, a reported burglary in the 6100 Block of Alii Dr., fishing gear, clothing, bedding, tools and food taken.

On Feb. 25, a reported burglary in the 100 Block of Ahikawa St., jewelry taken.

On Feb. 26, a reported burglary in the 5700 Block of Kalawa St., electronics taken.

UCPV(STOLEN VEHICLE)

On Feb. 23, a reported UEMV in the 7300 Block of Mamalahoa Hwy., a red 1995 Honda civic was taken. This vehicle has been recovered.

On Feb. 26, two reported UCPV’s in the 5800 block of Kuakini Hwy., a white with camouflage Honda Ruckus moped was taken as well as a yellow and white Honda Metropolitan moped.

On Feb. 26, a reported UCPV in the 5800 block of Kuakini Hwy., a white 2001 Chevy Express PVAN with Hi Lic# ZAW-156

On Feb. 27, a reported attempted UCPV in the 5800 block of Kuakini Hwy., a red 2011 moped was damaged and paperwork removed.

UEMV (THEFT FROM VEHICLE)

On Feb. 23, a reported UEMV in the 6800 block of Alii Dr., stereo system taken.
