Strong 6.9M earthquake strikes Colombia, no tsunami threat

A 6.9 magnitude earthquake struck Colombia at 4:16 a.m. HST Saturday (Feb 9). The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said there was no tsunami generated by this quake. According to the USGS earthquakes of this size do not usually produce destructive tsunamis.
