The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a Winter weather advisory for the summits of Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea through Monday morning.

Summit areas above 8,000 feet are getting freezing rain and ice. Winds are from the Northeast at 5-15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph and temperatures in the upper 20s. Driving on Mauna Kea access road can be hazardous due to visibility less than one mile in clouds and precipitation.
