Hawaii County Police are searching for Daysen Masuda, a 20-year-old male, who is reported missing.

Masuda is 5’6″ tall, 150-160 pounds in weight, has short ‘buzz-cut’ hair. He was last seen wearing a black long sleeved t-shirt and camouflage pants in the Ookala area on Sunday (Feb 10).

A group of about 40 ‘Airsoft’ players were involved a competition in a 21 acre, heavily forested area with ravines and large eucalyptus trees when Masuda was noticed as missing after lunch.

The group conducted several searches of the area without locating the missing player so police and fire/rescue units were called and arrived to join the searchers.

The fire department will dispatch Chopper 1 at daybreak to continue the search for Masuda.
