The Rotary Club of Kona Mauka hosts its 10th annual Valentine Wine Tasting Celebration 4-8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9 at a private Kona estate with a spectacular view overlooking Kailua Bay.

The event will feature superb wines, extraordinary food catered by Johnson Wong with a carving station, gourmet pupus and mouthwatering desserts.

There will be live music featuring classical and flamenco guitarist Jan Orbom, who also performs at Hualalai Resort and other Kohala Coast hotels.

One of the highlights of the event will be the silent auction featuring selected items from local artists, restaurants, hotels, and businesses.

Proceeds will go toward scholarships for local high school seniors and community service projects.

Every year, the Rotary Club of Kona Mauka supports the community in various ways. Here are a few highlights:

* Provided more than $20,000 in scholarships to local students last year
* Sponsorship of students to attend a leadership camp
* Provide every third grader in the Konawaena Complex with their own personal dictionary & vision screening through the Keiki Vision and Dictionary Project

This year, the club is hoping that the event will generate more funds than ever before in order to continue to help the youth and other projects in the community.
