Hawaii Preparatory Academy girls soccer team is into the state championship game and will be looking to go one better than last year’s runner-up.
Seeded No. 3 in Division II, HPA earned a re-match against last year’s champions Mid-Pacific, which is seeded No. 1.
The championship game is 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex on Oahu. The game is slated to be televised live at 5 p.m. on OC16.
HPA out-lasted No. 2 Kapaa in Friday’s semifinal game, while Mid-Pac knocked off unseeded Kauai.
That leaves Kauai to take on Kapaa for third place.
The Big Island is well represented in the consolation bracket, with three teams vying for places five through eight.
Meanwhile the Division I championship match-up features No. 1 Iolani and unseeded Punahou.
The third place game pits No. 2 Mililani and Kaiser.
Makua Lani takes on Radford for fifth place, while Kamehameha School Hawaii and Honokaa square off for seventh place.
In the consolation bracket, Konawaena and Kamehameha Schools Maui play for fifth and sixth place, while Kealakehe and King Kekaulike match up for seventh and eighth place.
