Fire/rescue crews responded to a 8:15 p.m. alarm Sunday (Dec 3) to a structure fire in the Hawaiian Beaches subdivision.
Crews found a 20×60 foot home engulfed in flames with the carport roof collapsed. A live downed powerline fronting the structure made access difficult for firefighters.
Fire dispatch reports a large amount of water was needed to extinguish the blaze due to the wood construction of the structure and large number of items in the home on fire.
The three bedroom, on bath home was reported to be a total loss at $180,000.
There were no injuries reported in the blaze, the cause of the fire is under investigation.
