MEDIA RELEASE
Waimea Artists’ Guild (WAG) in partnership with KALO invites artists of all ages and experience levels to join in their “Holiday Printmaking†class, taught by professional artist Geoffrey Mundon.
The four-part class is offered in two separate sessions for younger and older students, at Kanu O Ka Aina New Century Public Charter School, starting Thursday, Nov. 8.
Using everyday items such as Styrofoam trays, aluminum pie pans, leaves and plants, Mundon shares his inspiring techniques to create beautiful prints — for cards, gift tags, frame-able art and more.
“Holiday Printmaking†class takes place Thursdays and Tuesdays, Nov. 8, Nov. 13, Nov. 15 and Nov. 20. Keiki class is 3:30-5 p.m. for ages 4-11 (keiki 6 and under must have an accompanying parent). Adult class is 5:30-7:30 p.m. for ages 12 and up.
Tuition of $85 includes four class sessions and materials, and students will complete a project to take home, along with a template design for future prints.
To register, call 887-2289.
