Fire/rescue crews responded to a 7:14 p.m. alarm to Hawaiian Acres Subdivision Wednesday (Sept 26) for a structure fire.

Crews found a 900 square-foot home engulfed in flames on Kea Road ‘B.’ The building was vacant and three abandoned vehicles where on the property.

Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control by 7:50 p.m. and declared it out at 8:30 p.m. The structure was a total loss estimated at $120,000.

Kea Road was detoured due to firefighting efforts and there were no injuries in the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
