Temporary program administrator appointed to Elections Division

The Office of the Hawaii County Clerk has announced Elizabeth Lehua Iopa will be filling in as temporary program administrator for the elections division.

Iopa has been employed with the Hawaii County Clerk’s Office, Elections Division, since February 2008 and has served a number of roles within the office most recently as an elections specialist.

Iopa said, “I am excited about the opportunity to serve the community. I will try my very best to do a good job and to make sure that the general election runs well.”

County Clerk Jamae Kawauchi, who also oversees the Elections Division, said, “I am proud of Ms. Iopa and her willingness to serve Hawaii County as a temporary program administrator. She has the support of the Hawaii County Clerk’s office, and especially the elections division staff. I am very thankful for her help and I am confident that she will do a good job for her community.”
