Police thank community for outreach project at Richardson Beach Park

MEDIA RELEASE

The Hawaiʻi Police Department would like to thank the community for showing support this past Friday, September 18, at a Community Outreach Project at Richardson Beach Park. Agencies provided information on alternative programs for youth and laws regarding drinking alcoholic beverages and smoking tobacco.

“Thank you to Coalition for a Tobacco- Free Hawaiʻi, Salvation Army, MADD, County of Hawaiʻi Parks and Recreation, County of Hawaiʻi Aquatics Divisions and the Hawaiʻi Police Department’s Traffic Services Section,” said Officer Nicole Leyson. “This project was successful and we plan to have more projects in the future. A continued partnership will assist in keeping our beaches and roads safe for everyone.”

Any group or individual wishing to participate in future projects is asked to call the Community Policing Office at 961-8121.
