Special to Hawaii 24/7
As part of their all-school ‘bonding day,’ Kohala High School students welcomed the Hawaii Meth Project and Program Manager, Colby Takeda to educate students about the dangers and devastating effects of methamphetamine on Monday, Sept. 17.
Following the presentation, students created anti-Meth posters and waved them along Akoni-Pule Highway to spread awareness to the community.
In addition, the Hawaii Meth Project is looking for volunteers to help Oct. 6 at the Kohala County Fair. For those interested email ctakeda@hawaiimethproject.org.
