Police locate Ocean View man reported missing

Big Island police are looking for a 41-year-old man who was reported missing.

Sumer Keoni McDowell failed to return to his Ocean View home on September 7. He has a medical condition that requires medication.

He is described as 5-foot-9, about 220 pounds with a fair complexion, light brown shoulder length hair and brown eyes. McDowell operates a silver 2004 Nissan four door sedan and is known to frequent the downtown Kailua-Kona area.

Police ask that anyone with information of his whereabouts call Detective Walter Ah Mow at 326-4646 extension 238 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. Crime Stoppers is a volunteer program run by ordinary citizens who want to keep their community safe. Crime Stoppers doesn’t record calls or subscribe to caller ID. Big Island police have located 41-year-old Sumer Keoni McDowell who was reported missing. He was found in Kailua-Kona on Monday afternoon (September 10).
