— AKONI PULE HIGHWAY —

1) MAHUKONA
Alternating single lane closures on Akoni Pule Highway in both directions between Milepost Markers 5 and 15, in the vicinity of Mahukona, on Tuesday, September 4, through Friday, September 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for pavement resurfacing.

— KEAAU-PAHOA ROAD —

1) AINALOA
Alternating single lane closures on Keaau-Pahoa Road in both directions in the vicinity of Ainaloa Boulevard between Milepost Markers 7 and 8, on Tuesday, September 4, through Friday, September 7, from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, for roadway excavation and paving work.

— KOHALA MOUNTAIN ROAD —

1) WAIMEA
Alternating single lane closures on Kohala Mountain Road in both directions between Milepost Markers 2 and 7, in the vicinity of Waiaka Junction, on Tuesday, September 4, through Friday, September 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for pavement resurfacing.

— MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY —
1) WAIKOLOA
Alternating single lane closures on Mamalahoa Highway in both directions between Milepost Markers 13.7 and 14.0, in the vicinity of Saddle Road, on Tuesday, September 4, through Friday, September 7, from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, for roadside utility work.

— VOLCANO ROAD —

1) MOUNTAIN VIEW
Alternating single lane closures on Volcano Road in both directions between Kukui Camp Road and North Lauko Road on Tuesday, September 4, through Friday, September 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for roadside utility installations.

Hilo International Airport road repaving project begins Wednesday (Sept 5)

Temporary traffic patterns changes at the Hilo International Airport are scheduled during an upcoming repaving project. Work begins on Wednesday, September 5, through the end of December 2012, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., daily, with occasional night work from 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. on Monday nights through Friday Mornings.

HILO — The state Department of Transportation advises Big Island motorists of temporary changes to traffic patterns at the Hilo International Airport during an upcoming repaving project. Work will be done on Kekuanaoa Street (Airport Road), from the post office to and from the Hilo Airport Terminal. A few lanes will be contraflowed beginning on Wednesday, September 5, through the end of December 2012, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., daily, with occasional night work from 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. on Monday nights through Friday mornings.

Motorists are advised to use caution while driving through the work area and to allow for extra travel time. Roadwork is weather-permitting.
