The 53rd Hawaiian International Billfish Tournament is hosting an exciting market fair and luncheon at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14 at the Courtyard by Marriott King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel.

Chef George Gomes of Honu on the Beach Restaurant will be preparing delicious lunch including a food demonstration. While guests enjoy this culinary experience, a fashion show featuring the newest lines of apparel from Nita Pilago with Wahine Toa Designs, Tori Richards, Island Heritage and Momi Shehan will inspire and excite luncheon guests.

The public is invited to attend and reservations are encouraged. The cost is just $20 per person.

Forty teams are headed to Kona to fish the 2012 Hawaiian International Billfish Tournament starting Monday, Aug. 13.

The field of anglers is looking very International with multiple teams from USA, Australia, China, Japan, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea. Teams from Singapore, South Africa and Vanuatu will also be heading out to the starting line. Portugal and Russia are new HIBT teams and will be welcomed at the starting line up as well.
