Pohakuloa Training Area suspends hunting indefinitely

MEDIA RELEASE

PŌHAKULOA TRAINING AREA, Hawaii— Weekend hunting is suspended indefinitely at Pōhakuloa Training Area due to the many troop training rotations here in the coming months.

The PTA command team will monitor the training schedule and, if there is a lull in training, may open selected areas for bow hunting of mammals.

We regret any inconvenience this may cause to hunters and are grateful for their patience. Check the PTA website (http://www.garrison.hawaii.army.mil/pta/default.htm) and Twitter feed (https://twitter.com/usagpohakuloa) for updates.

For more information, call Bob McElroy, Public Affairs Officer, at 969-2427.
