Fire hydrant test in Kailua-Kona along Kaiwi Street, Palani Road area Wednesday (July 18)

AFFECTED AREA: ALL SERVICES ALONG KAIWI STREET BETWEEN QUEEN KA‘AHUMANU HIGHWAY AND KUAKINI HIGHWAY, AND PALANI ROAD AND MAKALA BOULEVARD, INCLUDING LUHIA STREET, EHO STREET, PAWAI PLACE, ALAPA STREET, LOLOKU STREET, AND ALL SIDE ROADS, STREETS, ETC,, KAILUA-KONA, NORTH KONA, HAWAI‘I

The Department of Water Supply will be conducting a fire hydrant flow test at a hydrant in the above- mentioned area on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.

The affected area may experience slightly discolored and turbid water for several hours after the test. Customers are advised to refrain from washing clothes and to store a container of water for their drinking needs until the supply of water is restored to normal.

Please pardon this temporary inconvenience. Should you experience any unusual problems during or after the flushing period, please call Mr. Robert Ravenscraft, District Supervisor, at 322-0600.
