Lingle reports second quarter fundraising

MEDIA RELEASE

Linda Lingle’s U.S. Senate campaign committee has announced its second-quarter 2012 fundraising totals, which hit the campaign’s expectations and goals.

The campaign raised $1,134,588 between April 1 and June 30, 2012, bringing the total funds raised in this election to $4,252,839.37.

“I am very grateful for the strong financial and grassroots support the people of Hawaii and across the country continue to show for my campaign. Over the past nine months, I have visited with families and small businesses statewide who are eager for leadership that will encourage private sector growth in our local and national economy. My experience as a proven leader tested by challenging times, and my commitment to always putting Hawaii’s people first, is resonating with supporters,” Lingle said.

“As our campaign’s momentum builds toward election day – just 117 days from now – I am honored and humbled that many new supporters have joined our efforts this past quarter. People from across the state have put their faith and trust in me because they know I will bring executive and common-sense leadership to our nation’s capital to make the difficult decisions Congress has delayed for too long,” Lingle said. “The easy decisions have already been made; it’s the tough ones that must be made beginning in January when the new 113th Congress convenes. And, as I continue to say, ‘these are not Democrat or Republican problems we must overcome; they are American problems.'”

A complete quarterly fundraising report was filed with the Federal Elections Commission by the Linda Lingle Senate Committee according to federal campaign regulations.
