A portion of the previously burned brushfire area flared-up again around noon Wednesday (July 11) between Hulikoa Drive and Hinalani Street in Kona.

Firefighters responded with both Choppers 1 and 2 performing water drops with ground crews on 30 acres burning within the already scorched 400 acres. A bulldozer re-cut firebreaks and crews will be monitoring the area overnight for any flare-ups.
