Cultural Festival at Puuhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park this weekend

The Annual Cultural Festival at Pu`uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park will be held on the weekend of June 30 and July 1, 2012 to celebrate the 51st anniversary of the establishment of the park. This two day event is free to all (entrance fee waived). There will be dozens of craft demonstrations throughout the two day festival. Specifically on Saturday, June 30th, there will be canoe rides in Honaunau Bay and on Sunday, July 1, there will be Hawaiian food tasting and a hukilau demonstration. Pack a lunch and plenty of drinks and spend a fun filled day at the park and maybe leave with a nose flute, coconut leaf hat, a lei, lauhala bracelet, a hula gourd, or another traditional craft item that you may have learned to make at the festival.
