Expect traffic delays as military units convoy from PTA to Hilo Monday (June 25)

MEDIA RELEASE

PŌHAKULOA TRAINING AREA, Hawaii— Hilo-based military units will convoy from Pōhakuloa Training Area to Keaukaha Military Reserve (KMR) in Hilo on June 25 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

The convoys will travel via Saddle Road (Highway 200), Puainako Extension (Route 2000), Komohana Avenue, West Puainako Street, Kanoelehua Avenue (Highway 11) and Hilo Airport Road.

The convoys will have Hawaii Police Department escorts front and rear during their trip. Motorists are advised to be alert and drive with care.

The PTA Department of Army police are working closely with local authorities and military units to coordinate this activity in support of unit training.
