MEDIA RELEASE

The public is invited to a West Hawaii Fisheries Council (WHFC) informational session on the proposed Marine Reserve and Management Plan within the existing Kaupulehu Fish Replenishment Area (FRA).

Visitors will have a chance to ask questions and talk with members of the Kaupulehu Marine Life Advisory Committee, a volunteer group dedicated to restoring sustainable fishing to their home.

The event is 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 20 at the Kanu O Ka Aina Hawaiian Immersion School located at 64-1043 Hiiaka St in Waimea, in the main building Halau Hoolako.

Because this school is being good enough to allow this event on its premises, return the kindness by being willing to abide by any rules of conduct posted at the site.

For more details on this information session and a map of how to get there, visit Kaupulehu Marine Life Advisory Committee at Facebook.com/KMLAC.
