By Hawaii 24/7 Staff

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a wind advisory for Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea above 8,000 feet until 6 a.m. Sunday (June 3).

Winds are from the Northeast at 25-35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. The winds are forecast to remain strong and gusty through tonight.

Motorists should use caution as winds this strong can make driving difficult especially for high profile vehicles.

There is a small craft advisory until 6 a.m. Monday (June 4) for all Hawaiian Waters.
