Governor Abercrombie releases $26.8M for school improvement projects

HONOLULU – As the public school year wraps up today, Governor Neil Abercrombie announced the release of more than $26.8 million for various Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) at school facilities statewide.

“By prioritizing these school projects, we are making an investment in the education of our keiki while creating local jobs,” said Governor Abercrombie. “The Project Labor Agreement plan announced earlier this week provides a model for collaboration with labor unions on some of these projects to prevent potential conflicts that might otherwise cause unnecessary delay.”
