Tickets available for Tropical Paws (May 11)

MEDIA RELEASE

Animal lovers and supporters will be gathering Friday, May 11 at Four Seasons Hualalai Resort for Hawaii Island Humane Society’s 16th annual Tropical Paws benefit event.

Tickets are available from HIHS’s Kona and Waimea Shelters or securely online at HIHS.org via PayPal. Cost is $100 per person or $1,500 for a reserved table of 1o and space is limited.

Tropical Paws, which is Hawaii Island Humane Society’s largest fundraiser of the year, begins at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception sponsored by Kona Brewing Company, Grey Goose Vodka and wines sponsored by Lava Lava Beach Club at Waikoloa.

In addition to silent auction tables laden with dining, island activities, artwork, jewelry and more, the live auction at Tropical Paws is always highly anticipated.

Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on a stunning koa rocking chair by woodworker Stan Gallaher, a catered party at the new Lava Lava Beach Club, a painting by artist Harry Wishard, a Waikoloa Resort Stay & Play Package, a handmade Hawaiian quilt, and a 1.82-carat “trillion-cut” diamond ring.

Eddie-O from LAVA 105FM will serve as the evening’s Master of Ceremony.

Event sponsors include Petco Foundation, Keauhou Veterinary Hospital, Huggo’s, Kona Veterinary Services, Tinguely Development, Alii Veterinary Hospital, Anne Irene Wilcox and Dr. David K. Hiranka.

Funds raised at Tropical Paws help support Hawaii Island Humane Society’s education and spay/neuter funds and continued development of plans for the new Animal Community Center.
