Heartbreak for No. 3 seed Kamehameha Schools Hawaii in the boys volleyball Division I finals as No. 1 Punahou hung on to take the fifth and deciding set, 15-13.
However, Kamehameha’s Evan Enriques earned individual honors and was named the Division I Most Outstanding Player for the tournament.
Teammate Daniel Aina, Jr. also was named to the Division I all-tournament team.
The win gave Punahou its sixth title in the last decade.
Also in Division I, Waiakea topped Kamehameha Schools Kapalama for fifth place overall.
In Division II, No. 4 seed HPA outlasted No. 3 McKinley for third place overall.
HPA’s Keanu Yamamoto and Tyler Van Kirk was named to the Division II all-tournament team.
Also in Division II, Kohala dropped its final match to earn sixth place overall.
