Updated: Police identify Kona woman in Thursday (April 19) fiery crash

Police traffic investigators have identified a 77-year-old Kona woman who was killed Thursday (April 19) after being involved in a four vehicle collision at the intersection of Route 190 and Hinalani Street in Kailua-Kona.

The woman has been identified as Alehandra Lauro, of Kailua-Kona.

UPDATED (4/23/2012 at 3:40 p.m.)

An autopsy conducted Monday (April 23) revealed that 77-year-old Alehandra Lauro of Kailua-Kona died from a medical condition and not from a four-vehicle collision April 19 at the intersection of Route 190 and Hinalani Street in Kailua-Kona.

As a result, police have reduced the number of traffic fatalities to date this year from 12 to 11.
