MEDIA RELEASE
Big Island police have charged a 40-year-old Volcano woman who was arrested after a hit-and-run vehicle-bicycle crash in Hilo on Wednesday (April 11).
Alison E. Taylor was charged at 12:05 a.m. Friday (April 13) with negligent homicide, accident involving death or serious injury, failure to provide information or render aid, driving with a suspended license and inattention to driving. Her bail was set at $8,500.
She remained at the Hilo police cellblock until her initial court appearance later Friday.
I’ve almost been run off the road multiple times on my way to school. I find B.I. drivers are ignorant and rude when it comes to respecting cyclists and pedestrians.
