The Kona Bulls U19 team sloshed to the state championship this weekend in Hilo. Kona Bulls triumphed against Waimea Boars in the final match, 10-0.
The state rugby championship tournament concluded Saturday at Hilo Bayfront. Divisions include U19, U15 and U10.
Muddy conditions couldn’t stop the Kona Bulls from keeping the title on the Big Island, as Hilo Reign was the defending boys U19 state champion.
Other teams participating included Keaukaha Sharks, Waimea Boars and Oahu’s Kalihi Raiders.
