High surf advisory continues for East facing shores of the Big Island

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has extended the high surf advisory for East facing shores of the Big Island until 6 a.m. Sunday (March 25).

Surf is forecast to be in the five to eight foot range along North and East shorelines. Rough surf and rip currents will be create dangerous ocean conditions for swimmers and localized beach erosion.

The small craft advisory has also been extended for all Hawaiian waters until 6 a.m. Sunday.
