A high surf advisory for East facing shores of the Big Island has been issued by the National Weather Service until 4 p.m. Friday (March 9).
Surf is forecast to be in the six to eight foot range. Swimmers and beachgoers should use caution due to rough surf, strong rip currents and localized beach erosion.
A small craft advisory is also in effect for all Hawaiian waters until 6 a.m. Saturday.
