Makua Lani was the sole winner in girls state soccer action Wednesday, as three other teams were dumped into the consolation bracket.
In Division II, Makua Lani topped Leilehua by a score of 4-3 in a dramatic match that went to penalty kicks.
Makua Lani now faces No. 3 seed HPA in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
Also in Division II, Kamehameha Schools Hawaii dropped a heartbreaker 1-0 in overtime to Radford and Honokaa lost 4-3 to Kalaheo.
In Division I, Konawaena was up-ended in double overtime 2-1 by Pearl City.
No. 4 seed Kealakehe begins tournament play Thursday against Mililani.
