Governor Abercrombie releases CIP funds for Honolulu International Airport

HONOLULU – Governor Neil Abercrombie today announced the release of $2.45 million for various design and management Capitol Improvement Projects (CIP) at Honolulu International Airport.

Honolulu International Airport is the state’s primary transportation hub for local, visitor and business travel throughout the islands and to 42 mainland and international cities. Since taking office, the Abercrombie Administration has made airport improvements a priority.

“I want to thank our residents who travel frequently for their patience as we’ve been working to improve the airport facilities,” said Governor Abercrombie. “By expediting the release of these design and management funds, construction projects currently underway will continue into the next phase.”
