The National Weather Service in Honolulu has extended the High Surf Advisory for Kona until 6 p.m. Thursday (Jan 12).
Surf is forecast to reach six to 10 feet in height along West facing shores of the Kona coast. Beachgoers are advised to be cautious of dangerous rip currents and wave run-up along low lying shoreline areas.
