Fairmont Hawaii resort strike Conde Nast gold

MEDIA RELEASE

Readers of Conde Nast Traveler have selected both Fairmont resorts in the state of Hawaii for the magazine’s coveted Gold List, an annual ranking of the travel industry’s finest hotels, resorts and cruise lines.

The Fairmont Kea Lani on Maui and The Fairmont Orchid on the Big Island have been voted among the best places to stay in the world based on location, activities, service and guestrooms.

The Fairmont Kea Lani in Wailea, Maui is also proud to be recognized on the magazine’s new Platinum Circle List, a mark of distinction for ranking on The Gold List the past five years consecutively.

Earning high praise from readers for its all-suite accommodations and attentive guest service, The Fairmont Kea Lani also offers exclusive 2- and 3-bedroom villas just steps from the pristine Polo Beach. The award follows three years of renovations to the property, totaling over $28 million.

The Fairmont Orchid, a luxury AAA Four Diamond resort located on the Kohala Coast, was only one of two resorts on the island to earn the prestigious ranking. It was recognized for its pristine location, outstanding service, unique Beachboys program and its sustainable cuisine at the AAA Four Diamond award winning Brown’s Beach House.

“We are thrilled that travelers have recognized both Fairmont Hawaii Resorts on the coveted Conde Nast Traveler’s Gold List,” said Shannah Milstead, regional director of sales and marketing. “To be acknowledged not only for our luxurious accommodations, but also for our genuine sense of Aloha is incredibly rewarding.”

Travelers can now experience both award-winning resorts with the Dual Island package, currently available for stays between March 1, and Dec. 20, 2012. When guests book a minimum of three nights in any one-bedroom suite at The Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui and a minimum of three nights in any guestroom or suite at The Fairmont Orchid, Hawaii, they will receive the seventh night free at either resort (subject to availability, blackout dates may apply).
