‘Artist’s Way’ group to begin meeting (Jan. 17)

An “Artist’s Way” group open to the public will be offered in Kailua-Kona starting Jan. 17. Based on Julia Campbell’s popular book, group members will explore their own often-undiscovered creative expressions in eight sessions.

The sessions are planned 5-7 p.m. in a home setting in Kailua View Estates.

“Artist’s Way” is for writers, artists and others who want to tap into or expand their personal creativity. Facilitator Dana Moody, M.A. is experienced in facilitating Artist’s Way groups, as well as individual counseling.

The required book, “Artist’s Way,” is available at Kona Stories and Kona Bay Books and online at Amazon and McGraw Hill. Group participation includes weekly reading and creativity exercises and daily writing.

The group will be limited to 12 participants, with a sign-up deadline of Jan. 10. The eight-week session, which runs Jan. 17 to March 6, costs $80.
