3rd Annual Hawaii Week for the Animals (Dec. 3-11)

Animal World USA has announced Gov. Neil Abercrombie officially will proclaimed 3rd Annual Hawaii Week for the Animals Dec. 3-11.

The week will feature pet adoption festivals and events, pet therapy in hospitals, educational activities, bird watching/walking tours, holiday lighting ceremony at Volcano Art Center, Whale National Marine Sanctuary Reef Survey & Snorkel, Hawaii library displays and activities, holiday pet photos and toy drives, blessings of the animals, dog parks, low cost and free spay opportunities, People and Land of Kahuku – hike 2 miles through pastures, quarry, airstrip and the extraordinary 1868 lava fields, salute to working/ K-9’s, and Friends of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park Sunday Walk in the Park.

All these events celebrate the amazing animals, beautiful culture and compassionate people of Hawaii. The week presents an opportunity to change the history for communities and animals by collectively coming together.
