OHA community meetings on tentative land deal (Dec. 9-10)

The Office of Hawaiian Affairs is hosting a series of community meetings as part of a wider strategy to soothe concerns about the offer from the state to settle longstanding ceded-lands claims.

The statewide meetings begin Friday, Dec. 2 on Maui, where OHA will engage the Hawaiian community in detailed discussions about the tentative deal that, if approved by the Hawaii Legislature, would give OHA 25 acres of property in Kakaako valued at an estimated $200 million.
