High Surf Advisory for East facing shores of the Big Island

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a High Surf Advisory for East Facing shores until 6 p.m. this evening (Nov 28). Winds are forecast to create surf six to nine feet in height.

Beachgoers should use caution due to dangerous rip currents and localized beach erosion.

A Gale Warning is in effect until 6 a.m. today. Small Craft Advisories are in effect until noon today for Hawaiian waters.

The SCA will be in effect until 6 a.m. Tuesday (Nov 29) for Maalaea Bay, Pailolo Channel and Big Island leeward and Southeast waters.
