Wind advisory for the Big Island through Sunday morning (Nov 27)

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issue a wind advisory for Kailua-Kona, Milolii, South Point, Pahala, Hilo, Volcano, Honokaa, Waimea, Waikoloa. Bradshaw Airfield and Saddle Road above 5,000 feet. The wind advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Sunday (Nov 27).

Winds from the Notheast are forecast to be 15-30 mph with localized gusts up to 50 mph starting this afternoon and continuing through the night. The high winds may cause trees and branches to fall on electrical lines causing outages.

Drivers should use caution due to the strong winds and debris which may be on the roadways.
