The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the summits of Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea Tuesday (Nov 1) until 6 a.m. Wednesday.

A cold low weather front has brought unstable weather conditions to the island bringing snow and freezing rain to the summits. Forecasts call for two inches of snow with some higher amounts above 8,000 feet in elevation.

Drivers on the summit should use caution due to slippery roads and limited visibility.
