Police find Puna woman who was reported missing

Big Island police are searching for a 40-year-old Puna woman who was reported missing.

Beatrice Brown of Leilani Estates was last seen at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday (October 25) at the corner of Makamae St. and Leilani Blvd.

She is described as 5-foot-3, 150 pounds with black medium-length hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing tan shorts, a light green blouse and a black fanny pack.

She has a medical condition that requires medication.

Police ask that anyone with information on her whereabouts call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Crime Stoppers is a volunteer program run by ordinary citizens who want to keep their community safe. Crime Stoppers doesn’t record calls or subscribe to caller ID. Big Island police have located 40-year-old Beatrice Brown of Leilani Estates, who was reported missing.

She was found unharmed Thursday morning (October 27) in Hilo.
