From the Hawaii Scenic Byways coordinator:

We are pleased to announce the launch of our new website featuring the intrinsic qualities, special sites and activities available along the byways.

To learn more and to get a glimpse of what these communities are working so hard to showcase along their roadways, visit www.hawaiiscenicbyways.org

Our Hawaii Scenic Byways program is making great strides. In 2009 our first scenic byway, Mamalahoa Kona Heritage Corridor was established, followed by Royal Footsteps Along the Kona Coast (Alii Drive) in 2010.

Later this year, additional byways will join the program with full state designation.
