W. M. Keck Observatory Presents: ‘Oxygen: Breathing the Universe’

Oxygen is good for your brain’s health, and so is a new mental challenge. Get both by exploring the frontiers of galactic science with Dr. Lisa Kewley at the Kahilu Theatre. Dr. Kewley will describe the remarkable history of oxygen, from the stars that create it to the air in your lungs. She’ll also explain how she uses oxygen to explore the evolution of galaxies, using some of Nature’s most gigantic magnifying glasses, plus a bit of help from humanity’s mightiest optical/infrared spyglasses: the Keck telescopes.
