Kaiser Permanente Hawaii pledges $42,116 to help launch PATH’s HOALA program to increase physical activity among Hawaii’s youth and families

PATH (Peoples Advocacy for Trails Hawaii) will be celebrating the statewide “Walk to School Day in Hawaii Nei” by organizing walking and biking events on the Big Island and across the state. Starting at 7 a.m., events on the Big Island include Waimea Elementary, Kealakehe Elementary, Paauilo Elementary and Intermediate schools, and will include approximately 2,000 student participants and their families.

In conjunction with the celebratory day, Kaiser Permanente Hawaii has pledged $42,116 to help launch PATH’s HOALA (Hawaii’s Opportunity for Active Living Advancement) program to increase physical activity among Hawaii’s youth and families.
